RAFTING ON THE UPPER TAMBOPATA RIVER

Tambopata River is considered for the experts’ magazines as the most impressive river for rafting in class IV and V rapids.

The changing weather and the fact of being in an inhabitant territory make of this place unique.

The participants will have the opportunity to be in contact with the great Amazon biodiversity.

The starting point for rafting is Puno, for that is necessary to go to Juliaca, on San Juan del Oro walking for a difficult path, after that, descend to the Tavara river where all the groups will be transfer by a quick boat to Puerto Maldonado. The best season to go there is between July and October when is not raining.
