UPPER TAMBOPATA RIVER
The Tambopata River crosses the National Reserve from east to west, offering great attractions along its way. The Andean part of the river, in confluence with Malinowski is called Upper Tambopata River.
Here is located the Candamo region, and the big Macaw’s clay lick of Colorado and Chuncho.
The river is an attraction by itself, with its crystal-clear water and its bank of rocks and sand permit to see the surroundings of flora and fauna.
The lack of habitants and its proximity to the Andean Mountains, contributes to the existence of a great biodiversity, one of the biggest on the earth.
Only compare with the best areas of the Manu River.
LOWER TAMBOPATA RIVER
Located between Malinowski River and its mouth with the Madre de Dios River, it presents abundant life, which originates the existence of lakes and rich swamps.
