This is a new adventure circuit on the borders of these tree beautiful countries of Peru, Bolivia and Brazil, crossing the National Reserve of Manuripi in Bolivia, an exceptional place with amazing landscapes in the heart of the jungle.
Some researches did in this national Reserve by the WWF and the Herencia ONG show the presence of the biggest quantity of Mammals and reptiles in all Bolivia and other places in the Amazon Rainforest.
This tour make able to know three different countries with different cultures, languages with possibilities to follow the trip by earth through Brazil or Bolivia to the rest of South America or come back to Puerto Maldonado.

| DAY 1 : Puerto Maldonado |
|
Reception at Puerto Maldonado airport, and transfer to the Maldonado Eco-lodge.Free afternoon to know the city, go for shopping or just relax. You can reach Puerto Maldonado from Cuzco by plane or car (1/2 hours by plane, 22 hours by bus).

| DAY 2 : Puerto Maldonado - Rio Manuripi (Bolivia) |
|
After breakfast (7am) we will depart from Puerto Maldonado by boat. We will cross Madre de Dios River to reach Manuripi River (2 hour and a half by road through the Interoceanica highway that join Peru-Brasil and Bolivia).
In Manuripi River we will board a motor boat, which will drive us along the river the following two days and a half.
At the beginning of the trip we will have the chance to see the flora and fauna that habit along the riverbank. This will be a great opportunity to take some notes and to start the research work before to arrive to the Manuripi National Reserve.
After 5 hours we will arrive to a beautifull place called Malecon. A beautifull cristal water stream that looks like a lake, rich in fish and birds. The vegetation is endemic due to the particular ecology of the zone.
Box lunch on board.
We will stay in Malecon in a camping area. At the sunset we will have the chance to take a walk, paddle on the lake or even fish.
At night we will have the opportunity to get some information about the wildlife with the keeper of the Reserve.

| DAY 3 : Arrollo Malecon - Lago Bay |
|
Early in the morning after breaking down our camping we will have breakfast. It is posible to see a great activity of birds like Macaws and different species of gacels and mammals. After breakfast we will continue our trip down river for arround 3 hours until reach the Bay lake where will stay in a camping area too.
After a short break, we will start a walk arround the primary forest where we can see the castaaa tree or Nues de Brazil which can
reach 45 m of high. During the raining season, it is possible to see the walnut recollection work, carry on by small group of families. This is the main economical activity of the region. Beside, we can see a great variety of big threes for being located in a protected zone.
During the afternoon we will take a ride by boat on the Bay Lake and enjoy the sunset from there. After the sunset, it is posible to find big caimans. After that, we will return to the camping area for dinner. After dinner we will going for fishing. The place offer a great variety of fishes like the tucunare or peacock bass.

| DAY 4 : Lago Bay - San Silvestre -Cobija - Brasileia |
|
We will start the day as usual, after breakfast we will continue our trip to the Manuripi river for arround 2 hours until reach the San Silvestre Community, where we will continue the trip by car until reach the frontier cities of Cobija in Bolivia and Brasileia in Brazil separate by the Acre river We willl stay in a hotel in the city you previously choose (Brazil or Bolivia). After lunch, we will have a free afternoon, the guide will be
there in case you have any concern or question regarding your stay or your flight. Due to the particular location of both cities, it is posible to easily move from one city to another by renting motorbike or just walking. This will be a great chance to learn from two different culture and language. |
