From the confluence of the Malinowski, the Tambopata River drastically changes its landscapes. The water turns on clear, the river flow faster, and forms big beaches of sand and rocks on the riverbanks facilitating the observation of the fauna, it is also possible to see the high plateau of the Andes. The lack of habitants makes possible the existence of flora and fauna.

Without doubts this area of the river offers more opportunities to found wildlife than any other place.

ACCESS

The access is through “Boca Malinowski”, it takes about 5 hours in a fast boat from Puerto Maldonado, and you can also enter by 4 x 4 cars from Puerto Maldonado, for a road of 62 km. In this case, you have to take into account that the roads of the last 15 km are in a really bad conditions when it’s raining.
